We started Fitment IQ after experiencing firsthand the frustration of high return rates in automotive e-commerce. Traditional solutions were either too complex, too expensive, or too limited. We knew there had to be a better way—so we built it. Today, we're proud to power many successful aftermarket automotive retailers on Shopify.

Fitment IQ was founded in 2021 by Carter De Angelis and Ryne Higgins, who saw firsthand how difficult it was for automotive retailers to manage fitment data on Shopify. After seeing countless merchants struggle with high return rates and complex integrations, they realized the industry needed a purpose-built solution.
What started as a two-person team has grown into a platform serving thousands of merchants. We're bootstrapped and proud of it—staying focused on building the best possible product for our customers without outside pressure.
